This page lists, by name, every cookie and every piece of browser storage this website uses, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. It is longer than most cookie policies because this site keeps rather more in your browser’s own storage than it does in cookies, and a policy that only listed cookies would be describing the smaller half.
Technical storage and measurement details last updated: 7 October 2026. The campaign cookie kept by Kaelo Suite, added on 6 October, is set whatever you choose on the banner. Consent is handled by code served from this site.
Cookies, local storage and session storage
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep and to send back on later requests. Local storage and session storage are newer browser features that hold data for a site without sending it on every request — local storage persists until it is cleared or expired by the code that wrote it, and session storage disappears when you close the tab. All three are covered here, because from your point of view the distinction is technical rather than meaningful.

How your choice works on this site
Google’s tags on this site start in a defined consent state before any measurement code runs. The global default grants analytics and advertising storage. A second default, scoped to the twenty-seven EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, denies all four consent signals — analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation — until you accept. Google applies that regional default according to where you actually are, so it does not depend on our server guessing your location. Where it is denied, Google’s tags set no analytics or advertising cookies and send only cookieless signals, which Google uses for aggregate modelling.
Visitors whose browser reports a European time zone, or none, are shown a small banner offering Accept or Decline, and any visitor can open it from Cookie choices at the foot of every page. You can decline and still use the site and enquiry forms. The site records the choice, its time, policy version and the analytics-storage, advertising-storage, advertising-user-data and advertising-personalisation purposes in a first-party si_consent_v1 cookie and local storage for up to 365 days, and a saved choice is applied before any Google tag loads. If there is no valid choice, the regional default above applies. A same-origin request also clears server attribution when you decline or withdraw; it does not send your contact details to an analytics or advertising provider.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work or keep it safe. There is nothing to consent to, because without them the thing you asked for does not happen.

| Name | Type | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
si_consent_v1 |
Cookie and local storage, first party | Records your versioned choice and the four optional measurement purposes. The cookie lets the server apply the same choice. | Up to 365 days |
si_consent_sync_pending |
Local storage, first party | Temporarily marks a choice whose server-side cookie-clear request needs to be retried. | Until that request succeeds or site data is cleared |
wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-*, wordpress_test_cookie |
Cookies, first party | Set only if you sign in to the site’s administration area — our own staff and editors. Ordinary browsing and sending an enquiry set no WordPress cookie at all. | Session to 12 months |
sm_ty_seen |
Session storage, first party | Records that the thank-you page has already been shown for a given enquiry reference, so refreshing or using the back button does not count the same enquiry twice. | Until the tab is closed |
| Rate-limit counter | On our server, not in your browser | Counts submissions against a hash of your IP address so the enquiry forms cannot be flooded. Not a cookie; listed here for completeness. | 1 hour |
How we measure our advertising — first-party storage
Unless you decline — and, if you are shown the banner, only after you accept — this site’s code keeps bounded, first-party observations of the route you visited, the referring hostname, approved campaign labels and typed advertising click identifiers. It keeps the first observed touch and a separately timed later campaign touch. Query strings, fragments, full referrer paths, screen details and tracking-cookie bundles are not copied into the enquiry’s attribution record. If you decline, the optional attribution stores are cleared and new ones are not written.
| Name | Type | What it holds | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
sm_attr_v2_first, sm_attr_v2_later |
Session storage, first party | Consent-bound first and later observed campaign touches: a bounded route, referring hostname, time, approved UTM labels and typed click IDs. | Until the tab closes or consent is withdrawn |
sm_attr_v2_first_ls, sm_attr_v2_later_ls |
Local storage, first party | Consent-bound copies of those observations for a later enquiry. | Up to 90 days, or until consent is withdrawn |
sm_line_v2, sm_line_v2_ls |
Session and local storage, first party | Whether the last relevant page concerned freight or moving, so an enquiry can be routed to the right team. | Up to 90 days, or until consent is withdrawn |
sml_attr |
HttpOnly cookie, first party | A bounded server-observed attribution copy, bound to the current consent receipt. Old or mismatched copies are discarded. | Up to 90 days, or until consent is withdrawn |
sm_last_lead_v1 |
Session storage, first party | The saved enquiry reference and limited form context for the thank-you page; no name, email address or phone number. | Up to 5 minutes, then cleared |
sm_intent_last_v2 |
Session storage, first party | The time of your last call, WhatsApp or email request in this tab, so a second request within 24 hours is recorded as a repeat rather than a new enquiry; no name, email address or phone number. | Up to 24 hours, until the tab closes, or until consent is withdrawn |
kaelo_attr |
HttpOnly cookie, first party, signed | Which advertisement, campaign link or other website brought you here: advertising click identifiers (such as Google’s gclid), campaign tags (utm_*), the advertisement’s campaign and keyword parameters, the page you arrived on, the referring website, the time and, where our hosting reports it, your country; no name, email address or phone number. Kept by the plugin of Kaelo Suite, the enquiry-management system Kaelo Global operates for us, so an enquiry is credited to the advertising that brought it, whatever you choose on the consent banner (see below). |
Up to 400 days, or until you clear this site’s data in your browser |
One record is kept differently from the rest of this table. kaelo_attr is written for every visit that arrives from an advertisement, a campaign link or another website, whatever you choose on the consent banner, and choosing Decline does not remove it; you can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Only this site’s own server reads it, and it sends it with an enquiry to Kaelo Suite. Kaelo Suite reports an enquiry to Google Ads as a conversion only where advertising measurement is permitted under the consent settings described above.
Approved attribution is sent with an enquiry to our server and kept against that record. A real gclid, when observed, is kept by its own type; wbraid and gbraid are not relabelled as a gclid. The old browser attribution keys are removed. Contact-form prefill is no longer stored persistently. Where advertising measurement is permitted, the email address and phone number from a submitted enquiry are passed to Google’s tags on that page for enhanced conversions; Google’s tag hashes them (SHA-256) before sending, and they are never written to browser storage. No automatic server-side Analytics copy is currently sent. The privacy policy explains how enquiry records are handled.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 uses measurement ID G-EXYGFDEC3N to measure pages and site events, under the consent state described above. The site tag runs only on the live hostname and excludes signed-in editors. A configured tag manager may handle delivery instead of the site tag; the two routes are intended to have one owner for each event. Page addresses are reported without their query string, apart from advertising click identifiers and campaign labels (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, utm_* and similar), and the referring page without its query string. Page and lead events do not contain your name, email address or phone number, apart from the enhanced-conversion matching described above. The server-side Measurement Protocol lead copy is currently held while its consent, identity and delivery ownership are being completed.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics, where permitted | Distinguishes browser visits for analytics. | Up to 2 years, subject to browser and Google settings |
_ga_EXYGFDEC3N |
Google Analytics, where permitted | Session state for this measurement ID. | Up to 2 years, subject to browser and Google settings |
Permitted page views, form steps and saved-enquiry events may be sent through the active site or tag-manager route. A successful enquiry is saved to our database before its browser conversion event is reported. A loaded tag alone is not treated as proof that an event arrived at Analytics.
Advertising
Advertising measurement follows the same regional default and your choice. Where advertising storage is permitted, Google’s advertising tags may set click cookies; where it is denied, Google may instead carry an advertisement’s click identifier in the address of the next page you open on this site. This site’s own attribution uses bounded, typed click IDs observed from approved campaign links; it does not copy the browser’s full analytics or advertising cookie bundle into the enquiry record, and it does not use a Google cookie to invent a missing click ID.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au |
Google advertising tag, where permitted | Can help link an advertisement click to a later site action. | Typically up to 90 days, subject to browser and tag settings |
_gcl_aw |
Google advertising tag, where permitted | Can hold a Google ad-click identifier. Our enquiry code does not read it as a fallback. | Typically up to 90 days, subject to browser and tag settings |
Google services on the quote form
The origin and destination city fields on the quote form offer suggestions using Google’s Places service. Loading that service brings Google’s own script onto the page, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads. What you type into those two fields is sent to Google in order to return the suggestion list. If you block the script, or it fails to load, the fields remain ordinary text boxes and the form works exactly as before.
What this site does not use
These site components do not require optional measurement permission:
- No third-party consent management platform. The banner and consent logic are served from this site.
- No web fonts loaded from an external network. The site’s two typefaces are self-hosted.
Analytics, advertising and tag-manager tags, where configured, are controlled by the choice described above. Their configuration can change; this page describes the current site’s collection rules without assuming that a particular provider tag is absent.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie choices control on this site to accept, decline or change your choice. Declining or withdrawing stops future optional collection, clears the browser attribution stores, removes Google’s analytics and advertising cookies set on this site, and asks our server to expire its HttpOnly attribution cookie. If that server request cannot complete, the site retries it on a later visit; the browser still treats the choice as denied immediately. The campaign cookie kaelo_attr is not part of this choice and stays, as described above. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser. In Chrome and Edge the setting is under Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies or Site settings; in Firefox and Safari it is under Privacy, then Manage website data.
You can also control cookies at the browser level for every site: block third-party cookies, block all cookies, delete them when you close the browser, or use a private window. Blocking cookies will not prevent an enquiry form from saving your request to our database and showing its reference.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers vary in how they signal a tracking preference, and there is no settled standard that a site can honour consistently. This site does not currently act on a Do Not Track header or a Global Privacy Control signal. The consent mechanism described at the top of this page is what governs whether analytics and advertising storage is used.
Changes, and where to ask
If we add or remove a tag, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. If you spot something in your browser that is not listed here and think it came from us, tell us — it is the kind of correction we want.
