International Air Freight
Airport-to-airport and door-to-door air cargo from India, with consolidations, express and charter options when the deadline is the constraint.
Air freight is what you reach for when the cost of the cargo being late is larger than the cost of flying it. A production line waiting on a component, a perishable with a shelf life, a replacement part for equipment that is losing money every hour it sits idle — these are not decisions about freight rate, they are decisions about what the delay is worth. Our job is to make the fast option the predictable one.
We book air cargo out of the major Indian gateways — Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad — on scheduled passenger and freighter services, and we hold consolidation space on the lanes our customers use most. That means we can usually get a shipment moving within a day or two rather than waiting on ad-hoc space, and we can tell you honestly when a route is tight and a booking needs to be made now rather than tomorrow.
What you get with this service.
Airport-to-airport
Straight airport-to-airport carriage when your own team or agent handles the two ends. We book the space, build the documentation and hand you the master and house air waybill.
Door-to-door
Collection from your supplier, export clearance, the flight, import clearance and delivery to the consignee — one booking, one point of contact, one invoice.
Consolidations
Shared-uplift consolidations on our regular lanes, so smaller shipments get a better rate than they would buying space alone.
Express & charter
Next-flight-out for genuine emergencies, and part- or full-charter for outsize, dangerous or time-critical cargo that scheduled services cannot take.
What decides the cost
Airlines bill on chargeable weight — the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight, where volume is converted at a standard divisor. Light, bulky cargo therefore pays on its size, not its scales, which is why how a shipment is packed and palletised changes the invoice. We check the chargeable weight before we quote so there are no surprises when the cargo is weighed at the airline’s warehouse.
Beyond the rate itself, an air shipment carries terminal handling, screening, fuel and security surcharges, and — where applicable — dangerous goods or special handling fees. We itemise these at quotation. Where a charge genuinely cannot be fixed in advance, such as storage if clearance is held up at the destination, we say so up front rather than adding it at the end.
Special cargo
Not everything flies on a normal booking. Dangerous goods must be classified, packed, marked and documented to IATA rules, and a single wrong entry on the shipper’s declaration will ground a consignment. Pharmaceuticals and perishables need temperature control and a routing that keeps them inside their window. Lithium batteries, whether loose or in equipment, sit under their own tightening rules. We handle these as a matter of routine — the point of using a forwarder rather than booking direct is that the compliance work is done by someone who does it every week.
Questions we are asked a lot.
How quickly can you get a shipment moving?
On our regular lanes we can usually confirm space and collect within one to two working days, and next-flight-out is available for genuine emergencies. The honest constraint is not us — it is available uplift, which tightens around peak seasons and on thin routes. We will tell you the real picture when you enquire rather than promise a slot we have not confirmed.
Is air always faster than sea, door to door?
In transit, yes. But a mode is only as fast as its slowest step, and a shipment that clears customs slowly or waits for a part-load to fill can lose the time the flight saved. For urgent cargo we look at the whole chain, not just the flight, and sometimes the right answer is air on one leg and expedited handling on the others.
Can you handle dangerous goods and pharmaceuticals?
Yes. Dangerous goods are prepared and documented to IATA rules, and temperature-sensitive cargo is routed to stay within its window. Both need to be flagged at enquiry, because they change the routing, the packing and the paperwork — and, occasionally, whether a particular flight will accept the cargo at all.
